Coffee Thoughts

Coffee Thoughts

Sip…  We humans often get hung up on technicalities. Especially around biblical doctrine.
God does what God does: He doesn’t consider that it may violate your biblical theology.

And thus, salvation is of the Lord.

He doesn’t crosscheck the Bible to be sure He doesn’t violate your doctrine. Obviously, He does NOT violate any biblical doctrine, but he very well may violate what we presume to be biblical doctrine.

It’s like a baby being born. It doesn't make sure it comes just the way you were told it would come in Lamaze class. It just happens. There’s some drama, some things happen, and you have baby.

So is the new birth. When God’s Spirit joins a human spirit a new eternal life is born, and you can’t do a thing about it. He saves whoever He wills to save. Even though it totally violates your theological Bible box.

What, you were gloriously saved
and weren’t baptized?

What, you were saved
and never confessed all your sins?

I’ve often seen well meaning church folk quickly come forward and make sure this poor soul gets properly saved.

In the meanwhile God does what He did in Acts.
And the Lord added daily to the church such as should be saved. He did it long before you and I got here, and He’ll probably continue to do it long after we are gone.
