AT GOD’s RIGHT HAND The phrase "sat down at the right hand of God" describes the exaltation of Jesus Christ to the position of honor, authority and power that He has earned. This phrase is found in several Bible passages:
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:12
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:55
As Christ took his rightful place at the right hand of his Father, the work of redemption was finished in the heavenly realms. Christ already rules and reigns, at this time: it is not a future event. Christ sits on His throne. He IS King and Lord of all the earth. We need to see this in our hearts: that Christ is absolutely victorious.
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
