THE SIMPLE FAITH OF CHILDREN From the mouths of children and infants You have perfected praise, that they may manifest your strength and silence the enemy. Psalm 8:2 Jesus quoted this same verse on Palm Sunday, when the children in the temple were shouting his praises and the authorities complained about it.
The verse refers to the innocence of children, the simplicity of children, and how children abandon themselves fully to what they're doing, including matters of faith, prayer and praise.
And, God tells us that silencing the enemy is something that even young children can do when we praise Him in the midst of all life's complications. Jesus gave children a lot of credit, as if childish faith is very valuable.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Perhaps adults complicate faith too much. Faith comes easier to children. For adults, matters of faith seem too good to be true; there must be more to it. Doubts creep in. But children accept simple solutions.
For myself, I have found Praise to be a powerful experience in prayer and spiritual warfare, but I had to be persistent in prayer, praise and faith before there was breakthrough. And once there was breakthrough, that victory has stayed with me. Cyndy
