A PEACEFUL LIFE

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me— put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

This Bible verse tells us how to have Peace in our lives and in our culture. Does it sound too simple?

Consider all the murder, gore, violence and perversion we watch through TV, movies, video games and the internet. Not to mention the vicious atmosphere in politics! All this violence and perversion has poisoned us.

We need to change our ways. Perhaps we can't change society, but we can change our own personal habits. We can raise our children to make the right choices. We do have influence on those around us. It has to start somewhere; it should begin with ME.

We should mature in Christ so we can encourage one another in love. Ephesians 4:14-16

By the blessing of the upright a city is built up, but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.
Proverbs 11:11

Remind them to be... ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. Titus 3:1-2

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.  James 3:17

The love of God will truly be perfected in those who obey the commands of Christ Jesus. By this we know that we are abiding in Him: that we walk in the same manner as He walked. 1 John 2:4-6
