THE LAWS OF HEAVEN Jesus said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 5:3 This Bible verse is from the first part of the Sermon on the Mount: it is one of the eight Beatitudes.
Christ came into the world to establish the kingdom of heaven on earth. The laws of His kingdom are the laws of heaven, and the Beatitudes contain the essence of those laws.
The laws of heaven are contrary to mankind's natural inclinations. We should study these Beatitude verses and ask God to help us incorporate them into our lives. - Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
- Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
- Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall have their fill.
- Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
- Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
- Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
- Blessed are they that suffer persecution for My sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
