COFFEE THOUGHTS

COFFEE THOUGHTS

Sip... Happy Friday!

The path will often be lonely as we grow in the knowledge of Jesus, our Saviour. It’s just the way it is. Embrace it, walk on.

The spiritual conversations where you connect become fewer. You’ve become tired of the religious bunny trails, useless noise, and want the Truth.

If a 50-year-old is still sitting around talking like, and acting like a two-year-old it becomes kind of embarrassing. A two-year-old is a person. An awesome little person in its place. But a 50-year-old behaving like a two-year-old? Some of you will understand.

That’s what was going on in the church in 1 Corinthians. Paul called them carnal and babies. Read it for yourself.

They were carnal and earthly minded. I’m of Paul, I’m of Cephas. I’m of Apollos, you weren’t baptized correctly, debates and fights over nothing, so it went.

At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her…  There’s a connection between two who have the infilling of the Spirit that can’t be taught or explained. It’s a God thing. A Holy Ghost thing. That’s language from my pentecostal days. It fits perfectly.

You feel lonely? You long for spiritual conversations, but are afraid to talk? You can come talk to me. I understand the lonely path.

But it’s a good path. A path of peace.
