END TIMES REBELLION 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 7-12 For the Day of the LORD will not come until there is a great rebellion against God... For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, but when the one who is holding it back steps out of the way, then… the antichrist will be revealed. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those people who are on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause people to be greatly deceived, and they will believe the lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE END TIMES REBELLION
REJECTION OF GOD A global rebellion against God and Jesus Christ: people will refuse the truth that is in God's Word, the Bible.
APOSTASY/FALLING AWAY Abandonment of the Christian faith as well as the rise of apostasies that distort the true faith. Unlike previous ages, the final apostasy will be worldwide, involving all people and nations.
LAWLESSNESS The rise of lawlessness as people rebel against any and all authority. Violence of all kinds will increase.
DECEPTION AND FALSE PROPHETS There will be widespread deception, false prophets, and false teachers who lead people astray. With the internet, this is all too easy; left-wing and right-wing conspiracy webcasts (and others) predict all manner of alarming circumstances, to draw people into their extreme doctrines.
SETTING THE STAGE This era of global deception, apostasy and rebellion will set the stage for end times tribulation. HOW DO WE AVOID BEING PART OF THIS GLOBAL DECEPTION? Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do, yet fails to do it, is guilty of sin. James 4:17
Choosing to ignore Jesus, when you know you need to get serious about your relationship with Him, is an act of rebellion. The more you ignore God, and put off doing what's right, the more you will harden your conscience: until eventually God can't get through to you at all.
We walk into deception one step at a time. Little by little, bit by bit, more and more; until we're so far into the fog of our own making that we can't see anything clearly anymore. At that point, we must call out to God for help, to get us out of the darkness and confusion that surrounds us.
Jesus is waiting for you to call to Him: right now, this moment. Don't sin by putting Him off even a second longer.
