WORD TODAY: The Miracle in You!

The Miracle in You!

So that the proven character of your faith — which is more precious than gold — may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:7

There is a miracle in every story of Salvation: that moment of conversion when a person meets God. It is a spiritual moment, and the moment of spiritual miracle is evident every time the story is told. Our personal story of how we met Jesus holds the power of a miracle. And that spiritual power shines through every time we share it with others.

Jesus told his disciples that the
personal testimony of believers holds great weight and power. In fact, what we have to say about our experience with God may be the only "proof" of God that unbelievers will ever get!

So, if the doubters mock your story, don't let it discourage you: what they are doing is very dangerous spiritually. (Read the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31)

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to share our story with some people. But with many others, we will find sweet fellowship as Christian believers. Have you ever passed someone in the grocery store and you just knew they were a Christian? And if you chat with that person, you find out quickly enough that you were right. Their face lights up with joy to meet a fellow believer.

That little bit of joy is heavenly Joy! That's just a teeny foretaste of the fellowship we will experience together when we are all gathered in heaven before God's throne. Revelation describes an absolutely glorious worship service with the multitudes of believers, who are all united in their love for God:

REVELATION 7:9-12 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
… and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” -WEB Bible
