Showers and Sunshine

Showers and Sunshine

I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing — Ezekiel 34:26

You, O Lord, can transform my thorn into a flower. And I want my thorn transformed into a flower. Job got the sunshine after the rain, but has the rain been all a waste? Job wants to know, I want to know, if the shower had nothing to do with the shining?

And You can tell me; Your Cross can tell me. You have crowned Your sorrow, O Lord! So let this be my crown, also. I only triumph in Thee when I have learned the radiance of the rain.

Jesus the Reason!

Jesus the Reason!

I always finish the Christmas season with the Pieta. Jesus was born in Bethlehem because he was destined to become the holy Lamb of God who would make Atonement for the world.

Why did He do all this? Jesus became one of us, because He loves us. All we have to do is love him back. Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, all your strength."  Matthew 22:37

A token effort is not enough! Jesus wants us to seek Him as earnestly as the wise men; who set out from a far country. They weren’t sure where they were going, but they set out in faith, and God led them to an obscure village and a poor family. This was not what they were expecting: but they knew they were in the right place when they found Him.

We have a lot more information to go on than those wise men did; therefore, we won't have excuses when we stand before God someday. We know the story of Jesus, and why He came. We have Bibles that we can read. So this year, 2025, is the time to seek Jesus.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20
